Diamond Heights Blvd. Median Project Update
You may have noticed the new plants on the Diamond Heights Blvd. median islands. Volunteers with an assist by Public Works staff installed the plants along with a drip irrigation system funded by a Community Challenge Grant. The grant also funded new pavers to form an endcap at the southern entrance to the Diamond Heights Shopping Center. Now it is less likely that truck tires will create large holes in the median when pulling out of the Shopping Center.
A huge thank you to Paul Matalucci, Project Lead, who has shepherded the Median Project from the beginning. Paul reports that by spring the new plants will provide glorious color up and down the medians. More drought tolerant, low growing plants will be planted. Paul and volunteers have transformed our median islands from a vast unmaintained area filled with tall shrubs and dying trees to become an attractive and beautiful asset for our neighborhood. To support the volunteer program and to purchase supplies please consider a donation to the DH Blvd. Median Project by going to https://secure3.convio.net/sfpa/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app334a?df_id=1765&1765.donation=form1&NONCE_TOKEN=2E72F81C0BAC26C407B3DF944D5227FD

Urban Angels San Francisco
Message from Barry Nelson, Founder
Urban Angels SF is making a big impact in its efforts to reduce the suffering on the streets of our city. The UASF volunteers are men and women who care about sharing with the less fortunate and who volunteer many hours a year to hand out hot food, water, information about essential services, clothing, school supplies and toys at Christmas time! And we want to double our impact next year. Please help make this possible with a financial (tax deductible) donation. Bless you for all you do.
To make your tax-deductible donation by CREDIT CARD, go to www.urbanangelssf.org and click on the donate button. To donate by CHECK, make it payable to Urban Angels SF and mail it to our office at 5228 Diamond Heights Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94131 and mark in the memo section the particular area you wish to support (Increased deliver of hot food, retire the debt for 2019 schools supplies, or fund school supplies for 2020).
To receive our email updates, send a message to me at the email address below.
Grateful to be in Service,
