Diamond Heights Blvd. Median Project Update
Please donate to support our volunteer work!
Take a second look at the median next time you drive along Diamond Heights Blvd. Beyond the carpet of green brought on by recent rains, neighborhood volunteers are hard at work staying ahead of weeds and liter.Volunteer efforts are critical. San Francisco Public Works does not have enough staff to keep the median in shape. Thank you to our neighbors who have adopted segments of the boulevard to make sure litter is managed and landscaping is maintained. You may have seen Carolyn, Betsy, Ed, Gary, Jeff, or Mike at work as you walk or drive by. Please give them a wave when you see them at work.

UPDATES
Irrigation System – We are excited to report that after three dry seasons, the median irrigation system has been repaired and refurbished. We’ve conducted an inventory of plants lost to drought and the broken irrigation system. Those flags you’ve seen in the median mark the locations where replacement plants are needed.
Monthly Workdays – Our monthly volunteer work days are 3rd Saturdays at 9:00 AM. Contact Betsy Eddy for more information and to volunteer.
Grant Proposals – The project’s steering committee is seeking grant funding to replace lost plants and implement a long-term maintenance program.
