Boy Scouts Did Major Work on the Medians!
and Diamond Heights Blvd. Median Project Workday
Saturday, May 20, 9:00 am – 12 noon
The photo above shows the results of work by Boy Scout Troop #15 on the medians. On April 22 and 29, Adam Silva, Diamond Heights resident, lead Boy Scouts in his Eagle Scout project to improve the appearance of the medians across from the Diamond Heights Shopping Center. The Scouts did hard work scraping grass and weeds from a long area 4 feet from the curb and then distributing mulch on the bare area. Mike Davis, Median Project, coordinated the project with Adam and Public Works. The City Dept. provided tools, mulch, advice and closed off one lane of traffic each Saturday. A huge thank you to Adam, his Scouts and Public Works!
