Last fall with funds from Supervisor Mandelman, Resilient Diamond Heights approved 4 Block Parties with neighborhood residents via Liveable City, a nonprofit that provides permits, street closures and the basics for a Block Party.

District 8 Residents – The Neighborfest Block Party Program Returns for 2023 – Apply Today!
One of the top reasons why people love to live here is the strong sense of community and connection. That’s why we are excited to announce that, thanks to funding from Sup. Mandelman, the Neighborfest Block Party Program is returning for 2023!
Launched in 2016, the Neighborfest Program offers participants a wide range of benefits that include:
- Handling of permit application process and coverage of related fees, including the street closure and amplified sound permits! See website for details.
- Street closure equipment
- Event liability insurance
- Door prizes for registered event attendees
- Outreach materials such as customizable door hangers and flyers
- The Neighborfest Playbook that guides the Host Committee in planning activities
- Host support workshops and information sessions
