Elk Street Mural Feedback Meeting Nov. 16

YOU ARE INVITED!

PROPOSED GLEN CANYON ELK STREET MURAL DESIGN

Community Feedback Meeting

Saturday, November 16th, 1:30PM TO 3PM
Glen Canyon Recreation Center

Message from Renee Berger:
I am co-leading a project that will result in a mural along the Elk Street retaining wall that runs along the ball field toward the entry to Glen Canyon.

Here’s a link from a Glen Park Assn. blog announcing the project this past September: https://www.glenparkassociation.org/more-art-for-glen-park/ Through the month of September we gathered input from a survey and a community meeting that was held at the Glen Park Recreation Center. We are fortunate to have interested the well-know muralist, Sirron Norris, in the project. He facilitated the first meeting masterfully.

Sirron Norris has been busy working on a design which he will share on November 16th (1:30-3pm) and is eager for community feedback. Sirron’s style, which is very child-centric, is perfect for the location.

The Elk Street Mural (www.elkstreetmural.org) is a sub-project of Burnside Mural+, fiscally sponsored by the San Francisco Parks Alliance. I am the project leader for Burnside (mural and the awesome tiled steps). We have a generous donor.
