A majority of the DHCA Board voted to oppose the proposed AT&T monopole at 350 Amber Drive located on the Police Academy grounds adjacent to George Christopher Playground.
The San Francisco Planning Commission will hold a hearing on the proposed 104’ 10-story tall monopole. Community members are invited to attend the hearing to voice their position on the proposal.
In addition to DHCA, a group of community members have organized to express their opposition to the monopole. Please see the information below for details and contact information if you’d like to attend and coordinate with the community opposition.

WHAT’S HAPPENING
AT&T wants to build a 104-foot tall monopole (10 stories tall!) with 12 large antennas on it next to Christopher Playground at Glen Canyon Park.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU
- Ruins our views. The monopole will rise 20 feet above the tree line.
- Lowers property values. Studies show homes near monopoles lose value.
- Safety hazard. Diesel generator adjacent to trees could be a fire risk and cause billions in property damage.
- Unnecessary. Safer alternatives exist for coverage needs.
- Affects everyone. Visible from the playground, tennis courts and homes.
YOUR VOICE AND PRESENCE HAVE POWER!
